ich bin, du bist, er/sie/es ist
wir sind, ihr seid, sie/Sie sind

ich hatte, du hast, er/sie/es hat
wir haben, ihr habt, sie/Sie haben

Translates to;
I have, you have, he/she/it has
We have, you have, they/They have (In Germany, you are only polite when you use the formal version of "you" = "Sie". Capital letter is EVERYTHING!!)

I had, you had, he/she/it had
We had, you had, they/They had

---------

If you learn at the above, then you know 90% of the German grammar :D

Welcome aboard. German grammars are useless, since nobody actually uses it. Try going to Berlin for a week. Check in at a creepy hostel, with some dude managing the whole place by himself.

Then ask him about directions. Or what to see. His eyes will open wide, and German will be learned.
